What is Stamford Green Day Nursery?

Stamford Green Day Nursery was established in 1964 in the same location we are located in today, but with a few modifications.  One of our most recent modifications include the addition of a handicap-accessible ramp and new entrance way into our centre, another NEW FEATURE is our Expansive Natural Outdoor Learning Environment. We offer a variety of programs that are created to enhance your child's future success in learning by incorporating a phonics program into our preschool program. Our phonics program uses "Jolly Phonics" to develop a strong phonemic awareness in children will using fun activities to make children excited to learn.

From the end of June to July, we also hold a summer camp program that is filled with a variety of fun activities and field trips to create a summer of wonder for your children. With our themed weeks children have the opportunity to take a trip to a Tropical Island, Visit the Wild Wild West, Solve Mysteries, participate in obstacle courses, bowling trips...just to name a few.

At Stamford Green Day Nursery we believe that play is a child's work. It is how the child learns through experience and toning their skills.  It is equally important to learn how to approach others, to make friends and to know how to be accepted into the play.  If a child can learn this skill at an early age, it will set them up for their whole life.  Incorporating play into learning is a positive way for a child to develop and continue to grow.
